Dr. Denise spent her early years in Spring Hill, Florida. As a teenager, she worked at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park educating audiences in birds of prey and exotic bird shows. Dr. Denise headed south to Miami and Fort Lauderdale for undergraduate work, then attended the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in North Carolina where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, she returned to Florida for several years before relocating to California in 2009. Dr. Denise has worked in general veterinary practice for over 20 years. In 2022, she began to focus on her passion for end-of-life pet care, realizing that offering a peaceful passing at home for our pets in need is the most loving gift we can offer.
In her free time, Dr. Denise loves traveling – her most memorable travel destinations have included England, Scotland, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Hawaii, and South Africa. She also enjoys checking out local wineries, playing board games or computer video games, and reading science fiction or fantasy novels. She shares her home with her husband, their African grey parrot (“Pentium”), and their three elderly adopted cats (“Jake,” “Millie,” and “Kelly”).
