Dr. Katie was born in California but raised in Northern Indiana where she grew up with a variety of lovable pets. From an early age, her dogs, cats, hamster, bird, and guinea pig taught her the importance of the human animal bond. Dr. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and then returned to Indiana for earn her veterinary degree from Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Katie moved to Southern California after graduation and began her veterinary career in small animal general practice. She soon focused on reducing her patient’s fear and stress as much as possible, earning her Silver Certification in Low Stress Handling in 2023. At this time, she also transitioned to end of life care to help pets pass in the comfort of their own homes.
In her free time, Dr. Katie enjoys a variety of activities including baking, traveling, crafts, and spending time with family.
