Dr Mari Kramer

Dr. Mari has always had an interest in biology, nature, and animals. A childhood of playing with her family German Shepherd Dogs encouraged her first thoughts of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Mari earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California Davis. Through an internship at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group (VMSG) in Ventura, she continued her education in internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and emergency medicine. Dr. Mari has worked in general practice throughout Southern California, from Santa Clarita to Glendora, and still does relief work at Parkview Pet Clinic in Glendale. Aligned with her continued interest in internal medicine, she provides thoughtful and thorough care for each of her patients.

Dr. Mari realized the benefits of in-home euthanasia when she experienced the passing of her own beloved dog, Riley, during the pandemic. Riley was a 100 lb German Shepherd mix who had progressive difficulty walking and was no longer enjoying good quality of life. When it was time to say goodbye, he thankfully didn’t need to struggle to get into the car. Instead, he was able to pass peacefully at home in the place he felt safest, surrounded by those who loved him.

After 15 years in general practice, Dr. Mari has joined the Hearts and Halos team. She is honored to provide peaceful passing for pets in need of her help and comfort to their loving families.

In her free time, Dr. Mari likes to travel with her husband and two kids, watch movies, hike, camp, and play board games.
