Raised in Southern California, Dr. Nayeli showed an early interest in science, as well as a love for animals. At age seven, she had already decided she would become a veterinarian. Throughout high school she worked diligently toward this goal, with her sights set on attending an esteemed university. In 2005, she went on to receive her degree in Animal Science from UC Davis. As Dr Nayeli continued on her path, she graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
After graduation, Dr. Nayeli worked in small animal general practice where she enjoyed watching her patients grow from tiny puppies and kittens to gentle seniors. Although caring for her patients throughout their lives was gratifying, Dr. Nayeli recognized the importance of also providing a dignified and peaceful transition. It was this realization that steered her in the direction of providing compassionate end-of-life pet care. Dr. Nayeli considers offering pets the opportunity to transition at home, surrounded by the love of their families, one of the greatest honors of her career.
Dr Nayeli has resided with her family in Ventura County for many years. In her spare time, she is known for picking up new hobbies such as crocheting, drawing, Zumba and interior design. Her love of reading prompted her to start a book club with her local mom-friends. She is also passionate about spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter and Labradoodle, Biscuit.
